Don't believe the hype

One of XXL's highly praised freshmen of 2012 goes in over one of Nicki Minaj's tracks... And leaves me asking for more-as in, where's the beef? Small shots fired with the "kissing a milli" line and how the female MC's in the game are whack. But the lyrical quality of this freestyle is lackluster.

Ok, try not to blow this story out of proportion. Try really hard. Gregory Nesbitt (some dude) was recently found dead, shot several times, on a piece of property in Miami Gardens belonging to William L. Roberts II aka Ricky Rozay (some rapper with ill beats-like seriously, how does he keep getting such kille production). I'm sure Williams II has nothing to do with this given his past credentials. Or maybe he has everything to do with this according to his "other" credentials. Either way, stop the madness people.

I'm goin Gorillaz

After a too long hiatus, the Gorillaz jump on the Converse project of 3 artists and 1 song, joining James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and Andre 3K (all that is amazing). Does this mean I have to be emo too?

So this is disconcerting on many levels. Kid Cudi, to symbolize the "death" of his former self, got some new dumb stupid ink. Yes, the slit wrists, not that other stuff on his forearm. I didn't even realize this until one of my friends pointed it out, but how do people who've lost loved ones to suicide attempts and those who failed at such attempts take this? Maybe I'm overreacting on their behalf but it's disturbing regardless. I mean, I'm getting a haircut today after about six months, so I'll look noticeably different after. Does that mean I have to get some face tattoos of some pills going into my mouth? No. I'll answer that right now. No, it doesn't.
