MTV interviewed Charles Hamilton about his J. Cole diss. Things I didn't see coming that contributed to the diss track: supernatural forces, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sonic's children, the importance of 1981. What really goes on in Charles' head? Brilliant genius beyond us? Or batshit crazy. I'm lost.

ReplyDeleteEasy… I’ll put it in earth terms. On the Diss track Charles claims to have birthed J Cole. Meaning he has fathered his style. In so many words he is calling him a bitter (but it’s deeper than that.) This was a style that was supposed to have been used for the betterment of our culture but through Cole Charles claims it has taken a wrong turn. On the track Charles claims that J Cole is holding up the Rock without knowing what it means (Illuminati, but it’s deeper than that). He considers this a blasphemy to their style and he doesn’t approve.
Now as far as MTV goes…. Charles is a bit confused. He’s actually referring to Sumerian script, although Egyptians used the info also. Egyptians enslaved millions of people in-order to build their pyramids. All in the name of false idols. He’s referring to the tie between Sony, Clear Channel, MTV, Def Jam, Jayz, J-cole… in that order…
Even Sonic fumbles around and looses some coins once in a while.
I get that he sees J.Cole as a biter in a way but all the symbolism and conspiracy theory is a bit much for me. But I do appreciate all the information you've updated me on with the Egyptian comparison with the pyramids. I wonder if he's just content with the buzz he creates with his devout fans or if wants to go even so far as to use this network of corporate America to get his point across.
